0800: 3 waffles.
1030: 1 pancake.
1300: 1 omelet burger in wheat bun, 1 bag of corn chips and 100 grams of assorted candy.
1700: 2 potatoes, 3 meat cakes and a bunch of boiled carrots and broccoli

Ate some candy over the evening.

Down and old!

I stepped on the scale today as usual and expected to see an increase, but alas, it showed 147,5, in spite of the lousy weekend. Only 0.2 kilos, but hey :).Good start of the mini vacation.

As I shaved around my donut beard today I spotted a gray hair. I am getting old. I don’t know if I shall laugh or cry, but I have never dreaded getting older, so I guess it’s ok. I hope I will look distinguished with a grey beard. But I hope the hair on my head will wait a few years before going gray.

Well.. now it’s off to Kristiansand for three days. I will still blog via my palm and gprs, but don’t expect a great and healthy diet. :)

Down and blue

This has been a weekend with a “never mind”-weekend. I haven’t written down anything and don’t care to reconstruct everything. I guess I’ll pay for this in weighing in tomorrow, but I don’t think I will be up more than 0.5 kilos or so.

I think the first half of next week it will be difficult to eat right. We are going to visit Wifeys grandmother in Kristiansand and live with her until wednesday. I will do my best and try to walk at least an hour with Charlotte each day. Exciting to go for walks in unknown places. :)
But I will still blog. I can write the entries on my palm device and post them via gprs on my mobile phone. I just love technology. :)

Went swimming

I went to the gym in the daytime today, but decided to swim instead of pump. VERY good choice. It has been a long time since I swam and it felt great. I finished it all with 15 minutes in the sauna. A very good trip to the gym.

Todays menu:

1000: 2 slices of ingers rye with mackerel in tomato sauce.
1330: 1 granny smith apple and 3 snack carrots (knaskerøtter).
1445: 2 slices of ingers rye with low fat (9%) sausages.

Hade some corn chips, wine gum and toblerone over the whole evening.

2045: 1 slice of white bread with fried egg and 1 slice with cheese, tomato and cucumber.

0700: 2 ingers rye with mackerel in tomato sauce and cucumber.
1000: 1 carrot and 1 red apple.
1130: 1 whole grain taco baguette and 1 piece of chocolate cake.
1600: 1 carrot.
1845: 5 slices of pizza.
2045: 1 carrot.

Not the best day, but could be worse. Going to the gym to get rid of the pizza tomorrow.

Moving pizza night

Until now friday has been pizza night, but since Maiken is going to her father every other weekend, we are moving pizza night to thursday the weeks she is going to Oslo. That means pizza night tonight! Yippee!!! :)
I had bought filet of salmon for dinner today, but we will save that until tomorrow instead.

0700: 3 ingers rye with salami, cheese, bell-pepper and cucumber.
1000: 1 carrot
1230: 1 flat pounded, dry fried, garlic marinated chicken breast with a relish of cucumber, tomato, onion, balsamico, rasp oil, salt and pepper.
1530: 2 meatcakes in no-fat gravy with 2 medium sized potatoes and boiled broccoli and carrots..

1700: Gym. Got a new program monday. Guess I will be sore tomorrow. :) but thats ok since it is from working out. They made me a program that focus on upper body since the rest will get worked on during all the walking I intend to do.

1830: 1 new energy bar and an apple after working out.
2030: same as lunch

Clearsight!

I am getting quite angry now. First I will tell the story of my contact lenses, or lack of them:

October 7th 2004 I went to check my eyes at Interoptikk Gangestad AS in a mall called Torvbyen. The check went fine and 2 weeks later I had a new session to try on the contacts. This went fine also and I brought the contacts home. This cost me 1250 NOK.

After 4 days of use I broke one of my contacts and asked to get a new one from the store. I brought this home and opened the package and there was a big rip in the contact. I called the optometrist again and told them, and they said they would order a new one and call me when they had it in the store. A month passed without anyone calling and I called them again. Noone had heard anything about it and a new contact was never ordered. They said they would order a new one.

Another month passed and it all repeated itself. Noone had heard about it, they should order it and call me back. After two weeks I called and noone had heard about it AGAIN. I now went down to the store and asked to talk to the store manager. She wasn’t there, but would get a message to call me when she got back.

To top it I got a letter last week that said it was time to come back for a 6 month followup and eye check. I have now called and visited the store on a weekly basis for ages and the store manager has either just left or will be in later. She is never there and never answer my calls. It almost seems she is avoiding me.

Now I just want to get my money back and never shop at this optometrist again. But to do that I have to talk to the manager. ARGH!

Wonder if I should call Interoptikk chain head office?

Update: I called the head office today. I talked to someone high up in the organisation and he promised me that the store manager would call me today. The manager came to work at 1500. At 1501 she called me and told me I could come down and collect get the money back. At least most of it. :) I am going to get my money tomorrow. Will go directly into the fund for paying for the new server.

I need my readers help!

Please help me

A big difference in my diet the last 2-3 weeks is that I snack on apples and carrots between meals instead of candy, snacks and food leftovers. But my imagination is not very good about vegetables and healthy snack. In the long run I might get sick of carrots and apples. I eat other fruits, but because of the diabetes it is not very good to eat a lot of fruits.

I need help to figure out good vegetables to snack on. I eat a lot of carrots. Bell-peppers are good on bread and in dinners, but not as a finger snack. The same goes for cucumbers. I do not like radishes. But there stops my imagination.
