Bought ip telephony today!

This is quite fun. Telio.no is the first ip telephony distributor for persons in Norway. Today we subscribed to their service. We just went to a Narvesen shop and bought the startpack, spent 6-7 minutes hooking it up and registering info on the web and voila.

This will potentially reduce our telephony costs from about 1000 NOK a month to 159 NOK a month since it is free to call all phones except mobile phones. The only cost is the subscription fee.

Weighing in and stuff

Weighed in at 148.8 today. 200 grams down. The scale has shown less last week, but of some strange reason I always gain weight the day after workouts and yesterday I got a hard and good workout at the gym. Maybe because I drink so much water during workout?

Charlotte is a little sick these days. She often wakes up in panic because she cannot breathe through her nose. Poor, little girl. But we have nasal spray to give her, so that she can breathe again. Last night she actually slept all night so I godt 7 hours consecutive sleep tonight. I actually feel well rested. Now Charlotte is sleeping and I am relaxing with a cup of coffe and Internet. Not too much time for that these days.

Update on Charlotte: I checked her temperature, and she had a fever. I gave her som paracetamol. She seems better now and she is a happy little girl again. I hope it is “only” the cold her mother had this weekend and that it will go away in a couple of days.

The dog is getting better each day now. He is so active now I almost wish he would take more time getting well. But I am not that cruel. I will just take longer walks with him, and he will be sedate in the house again. That is healthy both for me and him. :) Here’s a picture of him at his favorite place. This is a sign that he is getting better again:

My poor, little doggie is sick

On monday Calvin suddenly froze on our evening walk and stood still for 10 minutes. He wouldn’t move at all. After this he has been almost normal, but have been shaking while he has been resting.

Today we went to the vet and he has an infection in his urine bladder and a bleeding prostate. I noticed blood on a pole he peed on today, so we rushed off to the vet. So now he is sedated at the vets and they will take a urine sample of him as soon as his bladder has filled up a bit. Then I will go to pick him up again.

Here’s my little, sick boy at the clinic:

Sick dog. Poor little puppy. :(

Menu tue feb 15, 2005

0845: 2 roffe specials (see recipe forum), 1 apple and a carrot.

1200: Ad wok :) fried 2 sliced low fat sausages with 1 thin sliced carrot, 1/2 red bell-pepper, 1/2 onion, and 1/2 a can of mini-mais in a tablespoon of raps oil and 1 of soy sauce. Had 2 rice cakes on the side.

1700-2000: 3 pizza slices, 1 hotdog and 2 squares of chocolate cake. Cafe night at my step daughters school. Not very healthy selection there. :)
2130: 2 bananas as post workout food.

I’m a bit proud today. I was needed at home this afternoon, so I decided to skip workout today. But since the cafe was finished at eight I hurried to the bus and got an hour at the gym before it closed. Very happy about not skipping the gym even though it was a short session. :)

A potentially hectic day

This is going to be quite a hectic day. Quite a tight program.

Here it is:

1130: Bus Charlotte to my wife at her school
1223: Take a bus from wifeys school to the gym
1230: Workout. I’ve decided to not have slack days at the gym. All or nothing.
1400: Shop todays groceries at the store by the gym
1431: Bus home
1500: Cook dinner for the family. Not decided on what yet.
1600: hopefully rest for half an hour
1630: walk to my stepdaughters school to the classes cafe-night.
2000: Hopefully back home
2045: walk the dog.

*sigh* This might be a stressful day. Some days I wish we had a car (and that I could actually drive it :)).

But, an active lifestyle is what will take and keep kilograms off. :)
