YAY! Down in spite of

It has been two weeks since last weighing. These to weeks I have not been thinking diet and exercise at all of obvious reasons. It’s hard eating healthy as a non-patient at a hospital. I mostly ate hotdogs, burgers and more hotdogs.

But it has gone good anyways. I weighed in at 149.5 kilos today. First goal reached, only a week to late. I am very happy about this. Sven told me on the phone yesterday that he was going away today, so he couldn’t weigh in today, but he stepped on the scale on sunday instead. I guess he will post his result as soon as possible. But I can reveal that he has increased his lead. But that will last long, Sven.. muahahahahahahaha.

Breakfast 1000: 1 whole grain baguette with chicken, guacamole, raw onion and salsa sauce. 0.4l water and a cup of coffee.

Lunch 1445: 2 slices of bread with fish burgers, lettuce and cucumber. 0.5l coffee-milk.

1630: 1/2 honey melon.

Dinner 1900: 150 grams of dry fried filet of salmon with potatoes, lettuce and shredded carrots. 0.2l pepsi max to drink.

Started the day with a 30 minute walk with the dog. Walked him for 30 minutes yesterday too. It feels good to get started with the walking again.

First night of crying!

Little Charlotte had stomach ache last night. She cried on my arm for 3 hours before she passed out at 0030. She only woke up for feeding at 0330. Otherwise she slept all night until 0830. The crying last night was heart-wrenching, but otherwise it has been a good night.

Breakfast 1030: 2 slices of wheat bread with boiled egg and tomato and one slice with pepperfilet of turkey with tomato and cucumber. 0.5l off coffee-milk and a small glass of apple juice.

Lunch 1600: 2 slices of wheat bread with pepperfilet of turkey with tomato and cucumber. Had 0.3l pepsi max to drink.

Dinner 1930: 2 turkey steaklets with rice, lettuce, tomato and cucumber. 0.6l water.

Its hard to get time to log!

Life is not friendly to the geek in me these days. :) I hardly get time by the computer, so the logging isn’t as frequent as it used to. But I am determined to log diet and exercise. I eat fairly well though.

Breakfast 0930: 2 slices of wheat bread with egg, tomato and cucumber. 0.5l coffee-milk (0.7% fat, 0.7%sugar).

Lunch 1520: 3 buns. 0.3l pepsi max.

Dinner 1930: 2 taco wraps. 150 grams marshmallows for dessert. Pepsi max to drink.

Slept a lot tonight

Considering the new baby in the house, we got quite a lot of sleep last night. Charlott slept through most of the night. She just woke up to be fed and fell asleep almost instantly.

Starting slow today:

Breakfast 1015: 1 slice of whole grain bread with mackerel in tomato sauce. 0.4l apple juice.

Snack 1230: 1 new energy bar.

Lunch 1445: 1 whole grain baguette with chicken, guacamole, lettuce, onions and salsa sauce. 0.5l diet coke.

Its a bit hard to keep the spirit up these days. I have Sinusitis and Wifey has Bronchitis. Due to the operation she is not allowed to carry anything or do anything physically hard and I can only use my right arm due to my operation last week. But our little sunshine Charlotte helps us keep the spirit up. She fills our hearts with courage and light, so life ain’t bad after all.

late dinner 2015: 1 small, thin crust pizza with chicken, jalapenos and onion. drank pepsi max

But the exercise will have to wait until I am well again.

Back to logging tomorrow!

It has been 4 crazy days and diet and exercise has been totally forgotten. From tomorrow on I will start logging and walking again.

Charlotte and Wifey has come home from the hospital and we are ready to start new routines. I wonder how life will be the next years. :)

I love little charlotte

Monday I got a little daughter. She was born 1009am by c section.

Everything went well and now I’m totally lost in this little creature. While the rainstorms roared outside and flooded parts of the city, little Charlotte was born. She is simply perfect.

Her raised, sceptical eyebrows when she starts to cry just make me want to cry with her. She talks so much with her face. When she is sleeping she sends soothing vibes into the deepest of my heart and the world around me disappears. She fills my heart and mind when I look at her.

I went home today (tuesday) to take care of some things and felt the connection between us all the time. I missed her so much those five hours. It was the longest hours in my life.

I do not remember much of my diet these two days. Yesterday i did not manage to eat or drink anything. I may have eaten a hot dog and a cup of coffee. I’m not sure. Today I have eaten a bit more, but very unhealthy. It is hard to keep a healthy diet at this hospital if you’re not a patient her. I will return home tomorrow night and start sleeping at home. Hope this will help me keep up a good diet. The dog, Calvin, comes home tomorrow too, so i will start walking those trips of ours again.

Now I have to go to sleep. I am tired after two exhausting days. We’ll tawlc again thursday.

A small break!

Sven will be going away for some days and I will be in the hospital becoming a father. So the updating will be a bit slow the next few days. I will be back on tuesday night. I don’t know when Sven will be back.

Hard time concentrating!

I’m having a hard time focusing on the diet now. I’m having a hard time concentrating on anything else but my baby that is being born tomorrow. I am so looking forward to meeting the baby I have been talking to and caressing for almost 9 months.

The baby is probably a girl and is going to be named Charlotte, after Wifeys great-grandmother, which after sayings was so pretty that she didn’t have to get an education and a job, something her sister had to do. This was their fathers words. I hope and know my Charlotte will be pretty, but we will encourage her to get the best education and the best job she can get. After all, it’s not 1890 any more. :)
Well. I will try to log as accurately as possible the next week or so. Here’s todays menu:

Breakfast 1130: 2 slices of whole grain bread with cheese and lettuce.

Lunch 1430: 2 slices of white bread with mackerel in tomato sauce. 0.3l apple juice.

1 new energy bar

Dinner 1745: 120 grams of coalfish with 2 small potatoes and lots of broccoli and carrots.

A rough night!

We had to go to the hospital yesterday. Wifey got a bad migrain last night and the hospital wanted us to come in. At 0330 am I was sent home, but they wanted to keep wifey for observation and a CT scan. She got home at 1130 am.

1145: I have eaten during this, but I am not capable to remember what I have eaten. Right now I’m eating 3 low fat turkey sausages and 2 slices of whole grain bread. Drinking 0.5l pepsi max.

1345: 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream. Haven’t got the energy to think up anything healthy to eat now.

Supper 1845: 5 pizza slices. Pizza with chicken meat, mushrooms and yellow bell-pepper. pepsi max to drink.

Two bad days now. Will eat a bare minimum tomorrow. Very close to coming under 150 kgs now. Want to reach that by monday.

Blood sugar!

My doctor gave me a gadget to measure my blood sugar today. I haven’t checked my blood sugar regularly for almost a year now, so it is time to get the diabetes under control again. Luckily I do not have to take any medication to control the diabetes. I control it with the food I eat.

I measured the blood suger 1 hour after the McDonalds meal today and it showed 6.2. Thats actually not too bad. Thought the result would be a lot worse.

I will check the blood sugar every morning and I will include this in the posts on TAWLC.
