Online in the park!

I’m sitting in the middle of Oslo with my laptop on my knees and blogging now. I just love technology. Fridays American Bar has an open wireless network that anyone can connect to. :) I like the way technology is going.

Well, on to business:

Breakfast 0745: Had to slices of wheat bread for breakfast. 1 with light filadelfia-cheese and red bell-pepper and one with turkey, lettuce and red bell-pepper. As you’ve probably noticed by now, I love bell-pepper. 0.5l water.

Lunch 1115: 1 wheat bread baguette with tomato, cucumber, lettuce, cheese and ham. 0.5l water.

Afternoon meal 1515: It was impossible to find any healthy food at Oslo Central Station. Ended up with a rollerburger with raw onion, ketchup and mustard. Took one sip of an undrinkable dispenser diet coke. This meal was SO bad in any way possible.

1900: Walked to the mall 3 km away to fetch the Dr. Phil books I ordered and back. At the mall I wass extremely hungry and head to get a big meatball to be able to get home at all. It was a wet walk home, btw. It rained hard. :) Quite fun, actually.

Late dinner 2000: 1 bowl of vegetable soup, 1 slice of white bread and 0.33l water.

This has been an active day.

  • I started the day with walking to Rema 1000 (the grocery store 1 km away) to buy breakfast for Maggie. That is 2 km.
  • Then I had some time to spare, so instead of switching busses “downtown” I walked to the train station. That is another 1.5 km.
  • Then I went to Oslo. I have a “city bike”-subscription. This means that I can borrow a bike for up to 3 hours. I was in Oslo 1 hour and 15 minutes before my meeting, so I spent 45 minutes pedaling around downtown Oslo and a half hour surfing the web in sparkling weather from a wireless hotspot. :)
  • Finished off with a 6 km walk to the mall

All in all a very good day tawlc-wise. The rollerburger was bad, but otherwise I’m very satisfied.

The day of doom again!

Weighed in at 152.7 kilos today. YAY! Another 2.4 kilos down. Bet Sven has lost more, but I’m a slow starter. This is supposed to last the rest of my life, you know. :)
Breakfast 0700: 2 slices of wheat bread. 1 with lettuce, chili-turkey and red bell-pepper, and one where I replaced the turkey with cheese. 0.6l of water to drink.

Lunch 1045: 2 Chicken-burgers without buns and yesterdays salad on the side. 0.33l of apple juice (100%).

1315: One clementine.

Afternoon meal 1400: 1 slice of wheat bread with light philadelfia cheese + red bell-pepper and 1 slice with chili-turkey with red bell-pepper. 0.5l fun-light with wildberries taste (no-cal beverage).

Dinner 1715: 2 fish cakes, 3 small potatoes and lots of boiled broccoli and carrots. 3 small glasses of water.

Dessert 1830: 2 clementines.

Supper 2015: 1 cup of hot chocolate.

No excercise today. A short walk with the dog this morning, but none otherwise. Maiken took the evening walk with the dog. My muscles hurt after yesterdays long walk in the forrest. That was hard. But I blame the weather for not exercising today. Its a rainstorm outside.

2145: Needed some snackes. Had 4 rice cakes and 0.33l pepsi max.

Hangover!

I realize now that I have been living in an eternal hangover earlier. A sugar-hangover. I do not feel good at all after yesterdays cake-eating. This is motivating me even more to stay away from sugar.

Breakfast 1000: 1 slice of wheat bread with lettuce, chili-turkey and cucumber and 1 with lettuce, white cheese and lots of red bell-pepper. About 0.8l of water to drink. Going to make a cup of coffee too.

Lunch 1330: 2 Taco-wraps with chinese cabbage, tomatoes, red bell-pepper, onions, cucumber, taco-meat of chicken, taco sauce and sprinkle of cheese. 0.5l of pepsi max.

Dinner 1700: 3×60 grams chicken burgers with a big portion of salad with chinese cabbage, carrots, green bell-pepper, raw onion, cheese sprinkles and cucumber. 0.7ltrs of water.

1935: Returned from a 90 minute walk in the forest. Both the dog and I are very happy now. :) It has rained badly today so we both got very dirty and I had to bath the dog which is a pretty good workout itself. :)
2115: 1 slice of white bread. Had to bake a loaf for Wifey and Maiken tomorrow. They didn’t have any bread they liked left. Had to taste it.

Birthday party!

Have been dreading this day since the start of TAWLC. We are going to my father-in-laws, that is svens fathers birthday party today. There’s always a lot of cake, candy, ice-cream and so on there. Don’t know if I will try to eat just a little (risky) or eat nothing at all today. Will see when we get there.

Breakfast 1015: 2 slices of wheat bread. 1 slice with tartex vegetaric paste, lettuce and green bell-pepper and 1 slice with salad, raw onions, taco sauce and turkey slice. Had as much as 1 ltr of water to drink.

1200: 2 slices of pineapple and 1 kiwi fruit.

lunch 1345: Omelet of 3 eggs with salad of chinese cabbage, cucumber, carrots and cherry tomatoes. Drank water and 2.5 dl of pepsi max.

1600: Fruit-snacks. Sliced apple, pinapple and kiwi.

Dinner/supper 1815: The birthday party menu: 2 slices of bread with salmon, scrambled eggs and a salad. 2 small glasses of pepsi max. Dessert: 2 small squares (5×5 cm) chocolate cake, a small piece of rum-cake and a punch-ball about the size of a golf-ball. Guess I’ll have a scoop of icecream too.

Finished the day with a 30 minutes walk with the dog.

Urge!

My body is screaming for chocolate. ARRRRRRGH!!! This candy-habit is so extremely hard to kick. I’m warming up some chicken-burgers and prokorn-buns now and hope that will remove the chocolate-urge.

I’m having surgery!

Got a letter in the mail today: I am having surgery September 27. I have a metal plate in my arm that they are going to remove. It’s bad for the training, but I have tried to get this surgery for several years.

Calling card!

I have made a small calling card. I will put this by the counter in my local grocery store.

TGIF!

Breakfast 0630: 2 pieces of weetabix with diabetes raspberry jam and 1/2 banana. Had a clementine too.

Lunch 1045: Taco salad with ground chicken-meat, chinese cabbage, carrots, cucumber and garlic salsa sauce. 0.5l water to drink.

Had an apple and a clementine. Not sure about the time.

Afternoon meal 1530: 2 slices of wheat bread with lettuce, raw onions, taco sauce and turkey. 0.5l water and 1 extremely sour, but good clementine.

1730:Busted big time. But managed to stay away from candy. Had 3 60 grams chicken burgers with prokorn-buns. Had a small glass (1.5 dl) of lo-fat chocolate milk to drink.

Supper 2000: 1 pizza-slice, 1 small chocolate (15 grams), 4 clementines and 0.4l pepsi max.

This has been the hardest day so far. Have been craving candy all day. Craving them intensely. Managed to only eat 15 grams of chocolate (Troika). It’s kind of a victory. Have had plenty of opportunities to buy and eat, but haven’t caved in.

2045: 150 grams of baby carrots.

Got to work up a sweat today too. Walked the dog for 55 minutes. A walk of about 5 km. The cat followed alle the way to protect us from the darkness. :)

The dog has lost weight!

Last time we were at the vets the dog weight about 9.5 kilos. Now he weighs 8.2. He’s loosing weight too. :) He’s getting in better shape too. Our first long walk during tawlc, he got so tired that I had to carry him up the last hill. Now he walks happily by my side all the way.

Rolling, rolling, rolling…..

Breakfast 0715: 2 pieces of weetabix with skimmed milk, 1/2 banana and a spoon of diabetes raspberry jam. Nice variation for breakfast. Brewing a cup of coffee as I type.

Was tired after breakfast, so I went to bead after sending Maiken to school. Slept for 3 more hours. Felt good. I’ve been a victim for old habits this night. I woke up at about 3am and didn’t remember that I was tawlc-ing before I swallowed 2 pieces of licorice. But woke up quickly and stopped there. :)
Lunch 1100: 2 slices of wheat bread with lettuce, turkey slices and cucumber. Had half a bag of baby carrots to. Swallowed the whole meal down with 0.8l of water.

Went powerblading (rollerblading with cross country ski poles) for 90 minutes. Excellent workout.

1500: 2 chickenburgers with prokorn-buns, lettuce, tomato and a slice of cheese on each. Had 0.8l water with it. Also had a clementine.

Dinner/Supper 1900: Thai food. Extremely hot Thai Food. Chicken in coconut milk with red and green bell-pepper, some kind of beans, squash, bamboo shots, green chili and peas. It was served with a scoop of rice. My mouth is still burning. Had 0.5l pepsi max and 0.3l water.

Walked the dog. A round that normally takes 30 minutes took only 20 minutes today.
